My little Salamander

Owen started swimming lessons as a Salamander.  He just so happened to be in the same class as his friend Abby.  Lyla is lucky enough to have Cooper to play with.  Owen is doing great at his floats and glides assisted, and is doing pretty good at listening to his teacher.  He loves it :)

Surprise from Mike

One of the things I love about the island is how people will put things on the lawn with a free sign on it.  Mike was doing a sprinkler job on Kingsview(really close to our house) and this guy was carrying his sectional couch and side tables out to give away.  Mike didn't hesitate and hauled all of it to our place.  Mike will of course be taking it all apart and put in some needed foam for 2 of the seats.  But then it will be perfect.
On a side note- I mowed the lawn again today.  What is going on?

Lyla's Romanian Dress

My mom and dad got Lyla this dress for her 1st birthday and it fit her beautifully this Sunday.  Owen of course is always a stud in his skateboard guy tie.

Happy Birthday Grandma

We had all the family together to celebrate Janet.   We ate yummy food and enjoyed a little program in tribute of Janet.  I wrote this little poem.  You probably wrote a better one in grade 5 but hey why not?

What I’ve learned from you
By: Julianne McCullough

Janet McCullough
I remember when I first met you
Greeting me with a smile, hug and how do you do?

3 months later you became my new mom for goodness sake
You even picked out my wedding cake

I’ve been in your family
For just 5 years
but these are some things
I’ve learned from you my dear

Enjoy our beautiful earth everyday
Pick up a can or two on your way

Take care of your body
With vitamins and good food
Then maybe your hair will
Stay brown like me dude

Have a dream of your own
It might be the key
Just say “Shoo Fly, Don’t Bother Me!”

Stand up for yourself
Always be true
God loves you and
I love you too.

I have much more to learn
With each season that turns.

Thank you for all your support my dear
I wish you all the best in your 65th year.

That's the end of the poem.  Shoo fly, don't bother me is a book she wrote and a very good one at that.   Happy Birthday Janet!

The Winch

This is Me getting pulled behind Darren's winch.  Totally Awesome!

Enjoying Spring

I don't know what got into me but I actually mowed the lawn that day.  I guess I wanted to see Mike's face when he saw.  I guess we all know that his face did nothing, but he said "Wow, you have never mowed the lawn before.  Good job."
I was satisfied.
